Viola Davis has been recruited to produce and star in the Amazon Original Movie G20, written by Noah and Logan Miller (White Boy Rick).

Davis will be producing the action-thriller alongside her husband Julius Tennon, who is also her business partner at her company, JuVee Productions. Patricia Riggen (Miracles From Heaven) and Andrew Lazar (Mad Chance) will also serve as producers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film takes place at the G20 Summit, which gets overtaken by terrorists. Taylor Sutton (Davis), the American president, must bring all her statecraft and military experience to bear to defend her family, her fellow leaders, and the world.

“Viola is truly a one-of-a-kind talent both in front of and behind the camera, and we can’t wait to watch her bring the dynamic character that is President Sutton to life,” Julie Rapaport, head of movies at Amazon Studios, said in a statement obtained by THR.

With development by MRC film, co-presidents Brye Adler and Jonathan Golfman, expressed in a statement: “Viola bringing her unmatched strength, depth and humor to this kind of fun, popcorn movie is something we cannot wait to see. In Patricia, we have the perfect director to balance a grounded character story with a satisfying genre film.”

G20 will premiere internationally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories on its yet-to-be-determined release date.

Davis is currently on the big screen starring in The Woman King and Black Adam, where she reprised her role as the government operative Amanda Waller.

The award-winning actress recently took the challenge of eating extra spicy chicken wings during a casual interview on Hot Ones with Sean Evans. There, she discussed her latest films and career highlights and shared advice for rising talents all while the hot sauce intensified.

The 57-year-old thespian is currently filming the Hunger Games prequel, with The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes scheduled to premiere on Nov. 17, 2023.

“Bi**h said I smoke… bi**h, this is all in a day’s work. Stop lying,” the 51-year-old said in an Instagram video in response to his most recent Professional Blunt Roller’s (PBR) claims.

“F**k I’ma smoke all that weed in one day. What am I, a f**kin’ machine? Bi**h, this is the roaches. See… roaches,” he added.

The “Gin And Juice” icon then reposted a headline that reads: “Snoop Dogg smokes roughly 75-150 joints a day. Snoop’s official ‘Roller’ says she’s twisted 450,000 blunts since she started working for him in 2016.”

He captioned the post: “The bi**h is conning u man.”

Snoop’s PBR, Renegade Piranha, claimed that the new owner of Death Row Records likes to smoke at least a half-pound a day — the equivalent of 75 to 150 joints.

“I calculate it at over 450,000,” Piranha estimated on the Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show. She also claimed that the “Dogg Father” hardly travels anywhere without a blunt on deck around the 01:36-mark below.

In 2013, Snoop did reveal that he faced 81 blunts per day on Twitter, although it wasn’t confirmed if that was factual or not. He also spoke on The Howard Stern Show in 2019 alongside Seth Rogen where he revealed what being a PBR entailed.

“That’s his J-O-B—his occupation,” Snoop told Stern. “On his resume, it says, ‘What do you do? I’m a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller.”

Rogen added, “He [PBR] knows how to gauge the look on someone’s face when it seems like they want a blunt and if they do, he gives you one.”

In June, Snoop seemingly confirmed that his PBR makes more than $50,000 as he claimed he had given his employee a raise. He didn’t disclose the exact salary, but when the official UberFacts Twitter account claimed the PBR’s annual salary was somewhere between $40,000 to $50,000, Snoop responded with “Inflation. Their salary went up!!”

Besides cannabis, the businessman recently became the new owner of his former label Death Row Records — the same label responsible for his acclaimed 1993 debut album Doggystyle. He also revealed on Stephen A. Smith’s Know Mercy podcast that he and Dr. Dre have been working on an album tentatively titled Missionary. The project is slated to release later this month.

On Oct. 29, the SKIMS founder attended Karrueche and Lenny S.‘s party at TAO Los Angeles dressed head-to-toe as blue X-Men shape-shifter Mystique, who Jennifer Lawrence and Rebecca Romijn famously portrayed in the films based on the hit Marvel Comics superhero franchise.

Wearing a blue rubber unitard-style catsuit, paired with matching makeup, yellow contact lenses and a red slicked-back wig, Kim showcased her sexy mutant style in an Instagram video set to the theme song from another popular Marvel film franchise, The Avengers.

The Kardashians star captioned her post, “MYSTIQUE- HALLOWEEN 2022.”

In retrospect, Kim’s costume this year is on brand for her, seeing as she’s showcased a similar fashion style multiple times. For more than a year, she has often been spotted in public wearing sleek neck-to-toe catsuits, mostly from Balenciaga, with material that covers her hands and stiletto heels.

In September 2021, the Kardashians star wore a full-length black outfit that covered her face to the Met Gala. The following October, she showcased a pink velvet catsuit while making her Saturday Night Live hosting debut before changing into a sleeker one for the after-party.

This past September, Kim stepped out during Milan Fashion Week sporting an embellished black catsuit from Dolce & Gabbana, with whom she collaborated on a spring/summer 2023 collection.

During an appearance on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning on Tuesday, 50 Cent ​​​​​shared his thoughts on Kanye West’s recent series of antisemitic remarks.

“When you watch the whole Kanye thing play out, what are your thoughts on sort of the monolith, the way he sort of has been describing Jews as this big agenda?” co-host Peter Rosenberg asked. “’Cause I know you have relationships with all different kinds of Jewish people.”

“I think he’s in a dangerous area,” 50 replied at the 36-minute mark of the interview above. “I forgive him for the things that he said, because I’ve already identified when something’s going on that I don’t understand.”

In regards to Ye’s behavior over the past few years, Fif admitted there’s “nothing for me to say about it though.”

“Even the Trump support thing was a little out there for me,” he said. “One week it’s ‘I don’t want my kids raised by a white woman,’ and the next week it’s ‘I wanna go home.’”

50 concluded by saying that “crazy is unpredictable,” while admitting that West’s “unpredictability is entertaining.”

Ye sparked backlash this month by making harmful and offensive comments on social media and in interviews, including tweeting that he planned to go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” a likely reference to DEFCON 3.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” he wrote. “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Twitter subsequently removed his tweet for violating its rules. Ye’s latest Drink Champs episode was taken down shortly after premiering this week; it contained antisemitism and misinformation about the death of George Floyd. An already-taped appearance on LeBron James’ The Shop was scrapped for similar reasons.

Jay-Z and Meek Mill are partnering to bring Meek’s Dream Chasers label into the Roc Nation fold. The two signed papers Tuesday in New York City in front of a small media gathering at Roc Nation’s midtown headquarters.

Holding the title of president of Dream Chasers, a joint venture with Roc Nation, Meek will oversee the label and build a staff to sign and develop artists. The label will also handle its own operations, creative strategy, marketing and business affairs. Meek is also planning to open a recording studio for use by the label’s artists.

Said Jay-Z, whose 11-year-old Roc Nation has had Meek as a management client: “Everything he has done leading up to this point shows he is ready to [lead] the next generation. We look at the big picture — this is way beyond signing artists and having hot records.”

Meek will continue to record for Maybach/Atlantic and he plans to release some “new content” prior to the Aug. 28 start of his Legendary Nights tour with Future.

A Philadelphian  — the Eagles used his “Dreams and Nightmares” as their entrance music during their Super Bowl-winning season — Meek created the Dream Chasers imprint in 2012, though its handful of releases have been limited to mixtapes.

Noting that it’s given him “seven years of experience,” Meek added, “I think it’s time for me to dive into the business. I’m 32 years old, I’m in a nice spot in the music business and I can help artists.”

The label has no artists signed yet and no time frame to get started. He’s jumping into the label business after having a string of major success — three of his four Maybach/Atlantic albums have gone platinum and two have gone to No. 1. His 2018 track with Drake, “Going Bad,” peaked at No. 6 this year and is two times platinum.

His goal is to sign artists with staying power rather than ones who might enjoy a month of success via social media channels. Jay-Z noted that Meek has been forwarding him plenty of music: “He has a super keen eye.”

Meek Mill’s rise in the music world, though, has run concurrent with lingering legal issues stemming from drug and gun possession charges. Upon his most recent release from incarceration, he and Jay-Z created the REFORM Alliance to lobby for changes in laws and policies concerning parole and probation.

“Coming out of prison, I felt I had a responsibility to lead the culture as much as I can,” Meek said. “Jay-Z and others that came before me were like the snow plow that made it easier for me and others. I want to be the snow plow of the next generation, taking on those responsibilities, trying to move forward and push the culture forward.”

On the business side, Meek recently acquired an ownership stake in the sports apparel retailer Lids and has joined the ownership groups of Ethika Underwear and Milano di Rouge.

All of that plays into what Jay-Z’s view of what Roc Nation represents. “When Meek and I connected, we connected on a level beyond him being a great rapper,” he said. “Just who he is, his honesty, his sense of responsibility. He just came out of a situation and pulled people together. He turned a negative thing into something positive.

“I know he can make music  — you’ve heard it. I think he cannot only make music, but make stars. Not only make stars but make films. What we lacked for so long was opportunity. We didn’t own our businesses.  We’ve never been in this position before, never had this sort of power. Hip-hop is 40-something years old so we’ve just now gotten to the point where we can really affect change. The music and culture we created — we’ve given it away for so long. It’s understandable. You have to clean the floors before you own the building.”
