DJ Khaled Names Upcoming Jordan Collection Motivation “To Stay Positive”

DJ Khaled spoke to Footwear News about the creative intentions and choices behind his new Jordan collection. As his debut collection, the 46-year-old expressed his desire to work with the sneaker brand.

“I am true to the inspiration and motivation that [Michael Jordan] gave to me and the world – forever. What he does on the basketball court, his sneakers, and all the wonderful things he does for the community. It inspires me a lot,” Khaled told FN.

“When it comes to brands, I represent everything they represent. It was my dream to be a partner because I love sneakers but also because I love what they stand for. Teams represent love, unity, motivation, inspiration and greatness. My loyalty forever.

The collection, which follows the slogan “Carry On,” includes clothing including t-shirts, shorts, hoodies, tracksuits, and sweatpants, ranging in price from $40 to $150. On the sneakers side, Khaled is using the Air Jordan 5s, which will retail in a men’s size for $225. The shoe will also be available in SD ($160), preschool ($95), and toddler ($75) sizes.
