Sixty-three years after one of the defining moments in American history, a new cinematic project is taking a radically different look at the tragedy. Directed by two-time Oscar nominee Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields, The Mission), November 1963 unfolds in real time across the 48 hours surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, viewed through the lens of the Chicago Outfit rather than the official historical record.

Personal Roots and Firsthand Accounts
The screenplay originates from Nicholas Celozzi, the nephew of notorious Chicago Outfit boss Sam Giancana. Celozzi reportedly heard the account firsthand as a child from Giancana’s brother, Joseph “Pepe” Giancana, one of the men who rode alongside Sam during those fateful two days. Additionally, Sam Giancana’s daughter, Bonnie Giancana, serves as executive producer on the project.
November 1963 is scheduled to hit theaters exclusively starting November 20.
